Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories will hit PSP next year.

Japanese-based developer Nippon Ichi sent out a press release late last week announcing that Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories is heading to PSP next year.

An enhanced port of the PS2 original, the portable version of Disgaea 2 will boast extra story content - a rather substantial 30 percent, along with additional characters.

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories is slated for a March 26 release in Japan. No word yet on if it’ll make its way stateside, but we’d honestly be surprised if Nippon’s publishing partner NIS America skips on localizing this one, seeing as the franchise as a whole has been quite successful on PSP.
This Digaea is in version Japan language, but don't break down your hope that english version will come out not far from Japan language version.

Star Ocean :Second Evolution Hands On will ship in 2009.

Second evolution has graphic has been polished so that it looks great on the PlayStation Portable. It plays and feels the same as First Departure. This copy right from gamespot who were posted by Shopia Tong. it's a little about second evo:
"Second Evolution ventures off the beaten path by letting you choose either Claude (son of Ronyx J. Kenny from First Departure) or Rena from the get-go so that you can play from their unique perspective. It's interesting to see how the events unfold early on, before they band together to set off on their adventure. Claude is a young Federation officer who somehow gets himself transported onto Rena's underdeveloped world. He conveniently shows up outside of her small village and arrives just in time to save her from a wild gorilla-like beast. Since he comes from a more technologically advanced world with plasma guns, Rena thinks he is the "Hero of Light" from the legend, who has finally arrived to save her world. A strange sorcery globe crashed on her planet, and since then there has been an increase in hostile creatures. Since Claude has no clue how he's going to get home, he decides to set off in search of the mysterious globe, in hopes of finding some answers along the way. Rena also tags along for the ride in search of answers about her past.

As in the previous game, First Departure, you'll travel from city to city, exploring dungeons and fighting random battles. Second Evolution has a slower start, but once the plot gets moving, you'll have plenty of opportunities to explore, customize, and craft. The battle system is action-oriented, and when the fight begins, you're taken into a fixed area to combat a wide array of creatures. You can control only one character at a time, so you'll want to set up your tactics beforehand for maximum efficiency. Other than hitting the X button to attack, you can assign a special art or symbology spell--which you'll learn as you level--to the L and R buttons. The battles are straightforward and easy to play, and because of the fast-paced skirmishes, they don't bog down the flow of the game.

When you're not on the field, you can use the skill points that you've collected to learn skills and specialties, which will enable you to create items and boost your combat prowess. By visiting the skill guild to purchase a skill set, you'll be able to teach your characters to cook, write, and do other useful things. Each character also has special talents, so the chances of a successful item creation will increase if you teach them the appropriate specialty. This is an excellent way of getting rid of the random materials you'll collect on your quest, and it's always entertaining to see what kind of concoction you'll end up with."

Star Ocean Second Evo will ship at january 20,2009. i hope this game come out before that day, because it's best RPG game altough not as my Favorite game (FINAL FANTASY...).

Rumor about PSP2 again!!!

Remembered when SCEE president David Revees said "sony has no plans for a PSP2"?Apparantly, there are in fact plans for the PSP2. Apparantly, there are already three game producers who are developing games for the non-existant PSP2. If these rumours really are true, then maybe the PSP2 isn’t too far away! There are other rumours surfacing too including ones that say that a PSP-4000 might not be too far awayeither. According to the rumours, Sony will improve the current PSP by doing what they’ve been doing to the past 3 PSPs - making them slimmer, lighter, and giving them a better LCD, and then going even further with that.
But these just rumor so, you couldn't hope to much. But, if these rumours are true, the PSP2 might not even come out until late next year/early 2010. You have probably noticed that past few " upgrade " on the PSP haven't been spectacular. oh well, let's just hope that sony has been listening to its fans and comes out with something great for the next PSP.

LocoRoco 2 will be released on february 2009 on USA!

LocoRoco 2 is update from LocoRoco but the game plays nothing fights doom and gloom like the LocoRoco.
SCEA Tsubasa Inaba mentions on the playstation blog that LocoRoco 2 will be released on february 2009 on USA ,only on UMD. While many of us still prefer boxes copies, it would be nice to see LocoRoco makes a digital appearance on the playstation store,at least for those who have the memory stick space to spare.

Rumor : Final Fantasy Agito XIII will hit PSP next year.

Final Fantasy XIII games were represented by trailers, including the PSP iteration, Final Fantasy Agito XIII. The trailer was remarkably similar to the one we'd already seen earlier this year, but in case we missed a detail or two, we thought we'd bring you a quick look at yet another promising game in the famed Final Fantasy series.

The trailer begins by showing us an enormous crystal lighting up as the famous Final Fantasy arpeggios set the stage for the coming drama. We then see imagery that is bound to give most viewers a chill: a Hitler-esque leader stands on a dais, calling out propaganda in a commanding speech to the legions of apparent soldiers ready to cater to his every wish. The placement of the leader and his subjects, as well as the scratchy, black-and-white visual style, hark back to the heyday of the Nazi regime, and it's chilling to see such imagery, even today.

In an even-more chilling twist, the buildings lining the street around the soldiers transform and then fly into the air. They are, in fact, enormous battleships, and they fly across the sky en masse, a terrifying sight to a peaceful nation. The view then changes, and we see a tall, thin spire rising into the air. The camera moves downward toward the crystal that we saw at the beginning of the trailer. The crystal cracks and shatters, and the camera pulls away to reveal its island residence. The entire isle then explodes, perhaps taking all of its residents with it.

But maybe there is a survivor after all. From chaos, a shrouded figure emerges and is soon surrounded by the regimented troops so ready to commit to their apparently evil cause. The troops aim, but our hero isn't a single renegade after all. As the camera rotates, we see that more caped silhouettes join the lone rebel, until there are a dozen or even more. The trailer also cut to something that we didn't see in many of the other trailers in Square Enix's shadowed theater: gameplay footage. Although there wasn't much, we did see that the game will let you command a party of four, and based on that footage, it seems that each party member is assigned one of the four face buttons.

And in a final gasp, the trailer informed us that Final Fantasy Agito XIII will be released for the PSP, but it indicated no release date. Of course, we'd rather show you the footage than describe it, but for now, it seems that there is plenty to look forward to where Agito XIII is concerned, and indeed, for all of the upcoming games in that crystal-themed collection. Keep your eyes open: We'll bring you more news as it becomes available.

Play NDS in PSP (just for phat)

SofiyaCat developer of PSP has ported the Nintendo DS emulator DeSmuME to PSP. It's extremely slow, so don't expect it to run anything well, but it does prove DS emulation is possible on the PSP.

Above is a screenshot of the emulator running DS homebrew game GeoWars.

how to installation:
* Move the contents of the 150 folder contained in the archive to GAME or GAME150 on your memory stick.
* Download any DS homebrew game, GeoWars for example.
* Rename the game’s NDS file to test.nds
* Move test.nds to the 150 folder.
* Navigate to the Game menu on your PSP and start the emulator. The game will load automatically.

Rumor : PSP-4000 in 2009!

Looks like Sony isn’t taking a break from releasing yearly PSP refreshes, that is, if a report from Eurogamer is to be believed. Citing “publishing sources,” the site claims that a PSP-4000 will be released in 2009. While said sources did not offer any insight in the way of actual details, the 4000 will presumably feature slight hardware upgrades. We’re placing our bets now and saying that built-in storage will likely be included in the 4000 series. It just makes sense, seeing as Sony now has PlayStation Store specific to the PSP up and running. Not to mention, if more PSone classics are on the way, extra built-in storage will undoubtedly come in handy. What else could they possibly add?

The same source told the site that a PSP2 is indeed in the works, despite Reeve’s recent denial. Assuming Sony stays in line with its yearly hardware releases on the portable front, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see that in late 2010. Games are already in the works, reportedly.

Ready At Dawn Reconsidering PSP development?

Looks like the crack team of programmers over at Ready At Dawn are considering to jump back into PSP development, despite having shipped all of their devkits back to Sony back in June to work on a “mystery project.” While nothing is definitive at this time, the development studio noted in a post on its official website that it may reconsider its “no more PSP games” stance after discovering that two of its PSP efforts, namely Daxter and God of War: Chains of Olympus, charted into Amazon’s top five selling PSP titles last week.
We’d certainly love to see them back on PSP. At the same time, if they are considering to make such a move, it also makes us wonder what is going on with that “mystery project” they were said to be working on, presumably for PS3.

Hellcat pandora version 1.50(for semi brick upgrade)

Homebrew developer Hellcat has released an Update to Recovery Flasher, a multy-porpose utility that allows users to perform various maintenance task on their PSP, from restoring flash-based content to fully re-installing version 3.71,4.01, and 5.00 m33-4.

what's new:
* Updated 5.00-M33 installation to revision 4
* Introduced “Advanced Mode” of operations - potentially dangerous functions (some of the new ones might be) are usually completely hidden and are only available when “Advanced Mode” is triggered. Those functions are meant for the more experienced users that know what they are doing quite well….
* Added support for installing 3.80-M33 and 3.90-M33
* Added support for installing a fresh 1.50 OFW on classic PSPs (a.k.a. Fat PSP) without having made a backup of a running 1.50 first. (Actually it first creates a new “backup” set containing a fresh 1.50 OFW that you can then use to install/restore it to your PSP)
* Changed the menu a bit. Due to the ammount of FW versions now supported there’s no longer one item for each FW but one menu option for selecting the desired version and one to engage the installation.
* Added: Creation of NAND-Dump (fully compatible to DDC dumps)
* Added: [Advamced Mode] Writing back of NAND images. Complete dump, IPL only or LFlash only
* Added: [Advanced Mode] Installing selected firmware version as ORIGINAL firmware
* Added: ressurection.prx replacement - with that you can run Recovery Flasher directly instead of of the original DDC menu when booting up a DDC magic stick. WORKS ONLY FOR DDCv7!!!
* When running either as DDC main menu replacement (ressurection.prx) OR launched from a DDC booted FW (from memstick) you have the option to either boot up / exit to the XMB or to jump into the original DDC menu. So when using the ressurection.prx replacement you are still able to use the DDC features.
* Fixed: App-Launcher display mess up when more additional apps/games were available than fitted on screen.

Rumor : Warrior Orochi 2 will hit PSP next year.

According to a report from Tokyo Game Show 2008, It's no secret that developer Koei has found a specific niche with its many Warriors games, and Musou Orochi: Maou Sairin is no exception. When Warriors Orochi first came to the PSP earlier this year, it brought with it the familiar one-against-many combat scenarios and a rich character roster.

Like its predecessor, Musou Orochi: Maou Sairin is all about combat. You choose a team of three characters from the quasi-historical roster and do battle in samurai keeps, open plains, mountainous passes, and a variety of other environments. Though you represent a team of three warriors, you use only one of them at a time, magically switching between them with the press of a button. Each warrior has a handful of attacks, varying in strength and range, and you'll find yourself employing them all during the course of a battle. In addition to the legions of cannon-fodder enemies, we also encountered stronger foes whose attacks were more varied and powerful. As we cut our way through the demo levels, we found that making use of our full range of attacks was the best way to slaughter hundreds of hapless foes, and was downright necessary when facing stronger opponents.

The battles you engage in are spread across a variety of game modes, ranging from the relatively forgiving Story Mode to the brutally difficult Dramatic Mode. The latter mode grants you but one life, and succumbing to the swords of your enemies will end your game straight away. There is also a Survival Mode that lets you take your favorite characters into one-on-one combat, and a versus and two-player matching mode for online play.

As you might expect, Warriors Orochi's second outing feels a lot like the first. We got a glimpse of a wide variety of game modes, but each seemed to play to the series' strengths: giving players control of a powerful warrior and setting them loose in a densely populated battlefield.

PSP2 just rumor , said by David Revees.

SCEE president David Revees with assured said that sony has " no plans" for a PSP2. Early report suggested that the company has signed a deal with imagination Technologies' PowerVR tech, but Revees says nothing of the sort.
Revees further noted that sony has still very focused on the current generation psp, but did admit that the handheld's software library in terms of new releases as of late has lacking - primarily due to a focus on console development. He promises that games will come, but " they'll just take a while longer."

Rumor about Monster Hunter 3 would be released for PSP.

According to a report from Chinese site CNGBA, citing a Japanese magazine scan, that Monster Hunter 3 will be released for psp. While there is no real convincing evidence that backs up the site’s claims, the very idea of Monster Hunter 3 heading to PSP is far from unrealistic. The obvious reason being is because of the franchise’s success on portables. Combined with the massive Wii audience, Capcom could have a double, even triple platinum hit on their hands.

How to play PSX on PSP

*Note: your psp must on version 3.71 m33-3 or higher. but recommended on version 4.01 m33-2 or higher (if you want to play all psx game without problem).*

Requirements :
Before we can begin you must install IsoBuster and PSX2PSP.
The first time you launch IsoBuster it will prompt you to register. I recommend using the "Free funct. only" since it provides the reliable ISO ripping you need (however because it is a very good utility if you decide to purchase and register a copy more power to you).

To begin converting PSone games to PSP you must first extract the ISO to your PC.
Insert the CD of your PSX game into your PC. In IsoBuster you will see the the session(s), track(s) and file-systems of your disc.
Right-click the CD listing at the top of the tree on the left and choose Extract CD <> RAW (*.bin, *.iso). It will ask where to save the BIN and after the extraction where to save the CUE.
For the BIN file to work with popstationgui you must add .iso to the end of the generic BIN file that IsoBuster created.

After you make the iso format, now extract the popstationgui.rar .
then now launch the popstationGUI.exe .

Start program:
  1. Click browse
  2. Choose your PSX image file
  3. Click open
you may need to do a few fixes and tweaks...

  1. You may wanna change Game Title.
  2. If you have PAL region game you need this fix. Its for fixing graphics problem with PAL games on psp.
  3. You may want to customize EBOOT.(the way you see psx game on your PSP's XMB.
  4. If you wanna customize any of these, uncheck these and then
  5. browse/select file you wanna use.

You can change Game Save and Game ID. For multi-dics games to work you must set Game save and Game ID the same for each disc.

After you set them all click GO at teh bottom. it takes 2-5 minutes to convert a game. when teh program is done it will ask you if you want to transfer it to your PSP or not. Plug in your PSP with USB cable and program will copy it automaticly.
You can transfer files to your PSP manually too.
PSX games should be in X:\PSP\GAME\game name
PSX games should be in their own folder in PSP/GAME folder. Make a folder for each CD.
( X: is your PSP drive you see in My Computer.)

you are done. Turn off your USB connection. go to Game on your PSP XMB and choose teh game you want.
While in game press HOME button to see settings/options.
Now go play...

ohh and you may wanna set CPU Speed to 333MHz when playing PSX Games. Dont worry its not overclocking. By default PSP CPU Speed it set to 222MHz. Its just to keep teh battery going longer.
To change CPU Speed, Shut down PSP. Hold R button when turning it back on. Now you are in Recovery Mode. scroll down to CPU Speed and set it to 333MHz. You may set it back to 222MHz whenever you want. Do NOT mess with anything else when you re in Recovery if you dont know what you are doing.

Waw, the Publisher Square Enix today sent word of a revised ship date for its upcoming PSP exclusive RPG Star Ocean: Second Evolution, noting that the title is now set for release on January 20. Previously scheduled to hit retailers on January 9, no specific reason for the setback was given, though it was likely a marketing or manufacturing decision.

Featuring a revamped battle system and graphics displayed in 16:9 widescreen, Star Ocean: Second Evolution includes several noteworthy improvements over the original PSOne release, from fully voiced dialogue to all-new animate cutscenes.
